Today I want to wish a happy Five Year Anniversary to the team at Sweet Treasures Quilts. While owner Terri Staats has been an inspiring part of the quilting world for many years, her Sweet Treasures Studio opened just five years ago this month. What I wouldn’t give to spend a day, or better yet a weekend, sewing away with Terri and friends at her studio! Isn’t this a fabulous space?
Located in Keizer, Oregon, Sweet Treasures is both an online quilt shop and a sewing studio/store. Terri began her quilting journey in pattern design and teaching, and years later she opened the studio. Sweet Treasures offers a wide variety of classes, as well as open sewing/shopping days and an option for private sewing days for groups. I’ve ordered the rag quilt kit you see in the photo below, but it would be so much fun to sew that kit with friends, like these ladies did!
Terri and her team are always coming up with
fabulous, exclusive quilt kits. Some are based on her own patterns, while other kits feature patterns and books by other designers. Just check out this darling mini quilt, Little Cottontail, featuring the Nest collection by Lella Boutique. The
Sweet Treasures kit includes all the fabrics for the top, backing and binding along with the pattern.
During the month of April, Terri has been running some specials and Instagram giveaways to celebrate her studio’s anniversary. I’m tickled to announce that Terri and I will be offering a Sweet Treasures giveaway via INSTAGRAM on Monday, April 15. If you’re not familiar with Instagram, it’s simply a social media platform for sharing photos. The quilting community on Instagram is very supportive and inspiring. In fact, Instagram is by far my favorite social media platform. If you’re hesitant about getting started, just ask a young person in your life to get you set up. (Don’t be offended by my suggestion. My daughter helped me join the Instagram world!)
