Hello quilting friends! My apologies up front if you are tired of hearing about my crochet obsession. My hooks have not let up. Most evenings after a long day of work and regular life chores and tasks, I usually treat myself with a half hour of crochet bliss. I so enjoy working on small projects. In fact, I recently crocheted more pumpkins, and I just had to share some pictures with you. My daughter Haley and my friend Ibby requested them, and I was happy to oblige! These darling gourds have been sent off to their new homes.
All creative credit for these cute pumpkin goes to Erica Arndt and her terrific Crochet Pumpkins pattern and accompanying YouTube tutorial! As in my other recent chunky crochet projects, I have used Lion Brand Re-spun Thick & Quick yarn and a Clover Amour Crochet Hook (M/N 9.0 mm). In the photo above (Ibby’s pumpkins), the yarn colors are whipped cream, squash, fog and spruce. In the next photo (Haley’s pumpkins) the colors are whipped cream, squash and Hazelwood.
I should probably admit that some evenings, I do spend more than 30 minutes crocheting. It can be quite addictive, and sometimes I realize that an hour (or more) has passed and I’m still “yarning over” to my heart’s content. Luckily, my husband is happy with the situation, as it means he gets more control of the TV clicker. All in all, I’d say that’s a win-win situation.
If you’re hesitating on whether or not crochet is for you, please check out a few of my recent blog posts and then visit some of the talented ladies who have taught me from afar. I think you’ll love it too!
Thanks for stopping by!
