It’s March in Minnesota. A little over a week ago, we had one day where temps soared into the 70s. Then just two days ago, parts of our state saw 8 inches of snow! It can make a person a little cranky. Thank goodness I’m part of the 2017 Patchwork Quilt Along with FatQuarter Shop. I’m finding springtime in my fabrics!
Last month I shared my six Diamond Panes blocks, and in January we made our Souvenir of Friendship blocks. This month our block is called Box in a Box. This 5 1/2\” block is easy to make and so darn cute.
You may recall I am using the pretty Fleurs collection by Brenda Riddle (Moda) for my quilt. This is a collection that causes you to say, “Oh this is my favorite print . . . about several of the prints! However, I’m pretty partial to this green floral. So sweet!
In case you are a new reader, this annual event hosted by Fat Quarter Shop is a charity quilt along. The patterns are free and are posted on the 15th of each month on the Jolly Jabber. Quilters are asked to donate $5 for each block pattern that they download. All proceeds will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation! What a great opportunity for us all!
