Hello quilting friends! Today is my stop on the Spelling Bee Sew Along with Fat Quarter Shop! The Spelling Bee book by Lori Holt includes instructions for 100 letter, number, punctuation and picture blocks in two sizes, along with 18 quilt projects! If you are a fan of Lori’s Farm Girl Vintage book, then you really need to add the Spelling Bee book to your quilting library!
I’ve sewn up the smaller size capital letter G using fabrics by Vanessa Goertzen (Lella Boutique for Moda). The black floral print in the letter comes from the “Olive’s Flower Market” collection, while the soft tonal background fabric is from “Farmer’s Daughter.” These two collections play so nicely together!
Next week I’ll be showing you capital letter H, and in February I’ll be making the Flower Block. I may as well come clean now . . . I have a special plan for these blocks! I’ll be making a pillow for my daughter, Haley Grace.
The Spelling Bee Sew Along will feature 88 blocks from the Spelling Bee book over the course of 44 weeks!
There’s a terrific line-up of bloggers sharing their blocks each week. Be sure to visit the links below to be inspired by some super cute Spelling Bee blocks! And check out on Instagram to keep up with the fun!
