As a pattern designer, it is always a thrill to see my patterns sewn up by other quilters. It’s exciting to see one of my creations come to life with a different color palette, fabric style or theme. It’s also quite a thrill when quilt shop owners kit my patterns and offer a custom option to their customers.
One of my sponsor shops, My Timeless Day of Alcester, SD, has recently kitted two of my new patterns: Diamond Trail and Summer Breeze. Shop owner Allison has a great eye for putting colors together, and I just love what she did with these two patterns! First up, let’s look at her take on Diamond Trail!

Diamond Trail is a 22” x 32 1/2” table runner that is charm pack friendly. This is a project you could piece and quilt, and maybe also bind, all in one weekend! Allison has sewn up Diamond Trail using a beautiful collection called Tuppence, by Shannon Gillman Orr for Moda. I love her choice of navy binding and simple straight line quilting. My Timeless Day is offering kits that include my Diamond Trail pattern along with all the fabric you need for the top, backing and binding!

Next up is Allison’s version of my Summer Breeze pattern. Allison has used one of my favorite new Moda collections this spring, Nest by Lella Boutique. Isn’t this fresh and pretty?

Summer Breeze is a 26 1/2” square table topper or wall hanging featuring whirling pinwheels surrounded by a ribbon border. As in my original, Allison has embellished her pinwheels with little mismatched buttons, giving the quilt even more whimsy! My Timeless Day is offering kits that include my Summer Breeze pattern along with all the fabric you need for the top, backing and binding!
