Back in January I jumped on the red, white and blue bandwagon and joined Fort Worth Fabric Studio and designer Lindsey Weight for their Star Spangled block of the month program, and I’m so glad I did! My top is finished and I’m one step closer to having my first patriotic quilt!
I took some quick photos on my lawn in a shady spot that was dappled with sunlight. Although my Star Spangled top still needs to be quilted, I can already see that it will be a wonderful summer picnic/display quilt. It’s so festive!
Lindsey\’s patterns for this BOM are free, and I’ve shared links at the end of this blog post. I sewed from my stash of red, white and blue prints, but you can also purchase a lovely kit from Fort Worth Fabric Studio! They’ve put together a red, white and navy selection from several of the top Moda designers for their custom kit.
Sincere thanks to Lindsey and Fort Worth Fabric Studio for hosting this wonderful BOM! Pattern development and publishing is a lot of work, and I appreciate all of Lindsey’s efforts on our behalf!
And just because they are so darn sweet, the ladies at Fort Worth Fabric Studio have an exclusive deal for my readers . . . 20% off all Vintage Holiday by Bonnie & Camille with code VH20. Wow! This deal is good now through next Thursday, June 14.
Now, I’d better prepare my backing fabric so I can ship this project off to the quilter! Have a great week, quilting friends!

This turned out beautifully Taunja! I can just picture it being used to watch fireworks, picnics, or draped overa front porch bench😍. It’s an absolutely perfect summertime quilt! Thanks for sharing your journey making it and the lovely finish💕
Love your quilt! You had a stash of all that background? Pretty good stash!! 🙂 I love it as the background: it softens it all up much better than a stark white would have been. Great finish!! Hugs, H
The fabrics you used for the blocks and background just make this quilt shine!! Love it!
So beautiful! I love the pretty background fabric.
LOVE your fabric choices! Stunning!
Thanks Pam! It's funny how our minds think alike, because I wish I had a front porch with railing just to hang this quilt from! ha ha! Have a great week!!
That made me giggle Helen! I actually bought a lot of yardage of my favorite Coney Island prints from my local quilt shop. I just knew some of those prints I would use again and again!
Thanks Sigi! I will surely be sad when that background print is gone in my stash. It is sooooo pretty!
Me too! It is just one of my favorites from Fig Tree!
Thank you so much Amy!! I appreciate you stopping by and your kind words!
