Starry Stockings: a cozy, country version

Hello! It’s May 5, and it’s the third straight day we’ve had glorious weather in Minnesota.  With high temps hovering around 70 degrees, plenty of sunshine and a light breeze, you’d think I’d be planning my flower pot strategy for the coming season. Well, hopefully this weekend I’ll focus on flowers.  But this evening, I wanted to share a cute photo with you . . . a chambray version of my Starry Stocking pattern!

While the original Starry Stockings was cool and crisp, this version feels all country cozy, and I just love it.  I used Moda’s Indigo Chambray for the main stocking parts.  The stocking band, star centers and background are all from Lella Boutique’s upcoming Christmas Eve collection.  The lighter red star points and the green band are from Red Barn Christmas by Sweetwater.  The darker red star points are Moda’s Country Red Essential Dot.  It’s so fun to mix collections, pulling your favorite bits together!

I’m handing off this country version of Starry Stockings to my quilter in a few days. When it’s all quilted and bound, I’ll be sure to share finished photos.  In the meantime, if you’d like to get started on your own Starry Stockings, the pattern is available in PDF format on my Etsy shop.

Have a great weekend, quilting friends!
