Finished project: Autumn Harvest quilt

Hello quilting friends! In my last blog post, I shared that I was going to make a real effort to complete some in-progress projects rather than starting something new . . . or worse yet, buying something new.  For the most part, I’ve been a pretty good girl.  Here’s what I’ve been up to this past month:

I did have one big finish this past month! On Thanksgiving evening, I finished binding an Autumn Harvest quilt. The next morning before I began decorating for Christmas, I snapped a few pictures to share with you. Autumn Harvest is a wonderful pattern by Brittany Tunison. I’ve made this quilt to be a sofa pal for my Journeys quilt, so I chose the same color palette.

Most of the fabrics are from Art Gallery: Kismet, Bookish, and Kindred (Sharon Holland), Seedlings (Katarina Roccella), and Cultivated (Bonnie Christine). There are a couple of prints I was unable to identify, as I pulled them from stash. The blue that you see is my favorite Indigo Chambray from Moda Fabrics. The lovely lavender binding is called Tulipwood Camp Gingham by Fableism.

My friend Katy at Woods Edge Quilting did the machine quilting.  We chose a pretty panto called Triplet.  It is soft and swirly, with a slight nod toward autumn.

I do have another cute project that I can’t wait to share with you.  But that will have to wait.  After I publish this post, I plan to enjoy a cup of cocoa and watch a holiday movie. Quilting can be hard work!

I hope you are all well and finding time to get carried away quilting! Take care!
