After finally putting away my Christmas decorations a couple of weeks ago, I also spruced up the corner of our guest room. Here’s what’s on display, from top to bottom: Buffalo Check Autumn (with the pumpkins strategically hidden until fall), a jelly roll quick quilt called Chill Out by Zen Chic (a free pattern), and Star Watch. This corner of our guest room is also visible from a hallway, so I like to keep it cute.
I hung a basket of sprigs, greens and berries to add some dimension to the ladder. I’ve had that basket hanging in my office for a couple years, but it feels brand new in a different room. Don’t you love shopping in your own house? It’s so cost effective! Ha ha!
Finally, I wanted you to know that one of my favorite on-line quilt shops, Simple Stitches Fabric Shop, has kitted my Add In Love pillow pattern! The pattern is free (grab it here), but they have put together a darling fabric kit featuring Lella Boutique’s new Love Blooms collection. Their finished pillow is so sweet!
What are you up to this weekend? I fully intended to sew, but last night the yarn and crochet hooks were calling me, so I’m not sure what today will hold. We have a free Saturday with no plans. I guess it’s a good problem to have – being torn between two great hobbies! Either option sounds better than cleaning my house, wouldn’t you agree?
