More HO HO HO pillows!

Hello quilting friends! Earlier this week I shared my new pattern, the HO HO HO pillow. Today I’m tickled to share two HO HO HO pillows made by my friend and pattern tester extraordinaire, Sylvia. Aren’t they darling?

One of my favorite things about designing patterns is seeing them made up by other quilters. It’s truly a joy to see your fabric selections and personal touches. You might not believe this, but I also feel joy when I like your creation even better than mine! I had that feeling when I opened the bag and Sylvia’s gorgeous pillows tumbled out. That snowflake print she used on the border . . . perfect!

Immediately the words warm, cozy and homespun came to mind. I knew Sylvia’s pillows would photograph nicely with my flannel Lakeside Star quilt. (Lakeside Star featuring Yuletide Gatherings Flannels by Primitive Gatherings – 2021) As I admired her pillows and took some pictures, winter scenes sifted through my mind . . . a crackling fire, snow falling gently beyond the window pane, and me snuggled under a quilt reading a book.  Doesn’t that sound heavenly?

Sylvia has made one pillow for herself and one for her daughter who lives several states away. I like to imagine that when they set out their HO HO HO pillows this winter, we’ll all be connected through this bit of good cheer.

I’ve you’d like to read more about my HO HO HO pillow, please visit my original post.  The pillow finishes at 26 ½” x 16 ½” and is a fun, quick make! The HO HO HO pattern is available in PDF format on my Etsy Shop. Many, many thanks to Sylvia for her support and her friendship! I am blessed.

Thank you for stopping. If you make your own HO HO HO pillow, please be sure to share it on Instagram using the hashtag #hohohopillow

I love to see your creations! It’s an honor to know you’ve spent time making a Carried Away Quilting pattern.

Take care!
