Quilt top finish: Next Up for spring!

Hello quilting friends! I hope you had a sweet Valentine’s Day! I spent most of my “heart day” sewing and crocheting while watching the Olympics. Even though I was cheering on all of the athletes, I did manage to get quite a bit done.  In fact, I finished my Next Up quilt that blogged about last month. It’s pretty in pink and so romantic!

If you refer back to my January post, you’ll find all the details on fabric choices, as well as other Next Up quilts I have made in the past. Today, I just wanted to pop in and share my happy finish.

Next Up is a layer cake or charm pack pattern that I released in 2018. The pattern includes instructions for two sizes. The large version (86” x 86”) calls for a layer cake, while the small version (38” x 38”) calls for a charm pack. But you don’t have to use one of those precuts. You could sew from your stash or cut the required squares from yardage or fat quarters you have on hand.  It’s such an easy and quick pattern!

If you are interested in purchasing Next Up, it is available in both paper and PDF formats on my Etsy shop.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
