Sincere thank you to everyone who stopped by the blog and commented on my Castle Pillow project for the Fat Quarter Shop. We do have a winner tonight! One lucky lady will be receiving that beautiful half yard bundle of “Bloom and Bliss” (Nadra Ridgeway of Ellis & Higgs for Riley Blake Designs) donated by the Fat Quarter Shop. But first, I hope you\’ll indulge me and let me tell you where my Castle Pillow is going . . .

Every year 50 to 60 teams of all abilities come together and play for \”bragging rights\” along with a small prize for the top four teams. The tournament holds a silent auction in conjunction with the tournament. Various people and businesses donate items to be on the silent auction. I\’m so happy this Castle Pillow will be one of the items on the silent auction items. I hope it brings happiness to the winning bidder and a helpful contribution as well.

Now back to our drawing. I took all of those comments, copied and pasted the entries into an Excel spreadsheet (I love computers), removed the nice comments from my mom and my sister (sorry, no relatives allowed), did several random sorts to get the entries good and mixed up, and then asked my daughter to pick a number between 1 and 61. She said, “23!”
Lucky # 23 is Ann Witten. The kind folks at the Fat Quarter Shop will send this darling bundle to you, Ann. Thank you so much Fat Quarter Shop!

❤️❤️ How you share your talents!
What a kind soul you are, to share your time and talent and that pretty pillow for a very worthy cause. I hope the event is a huge success this year as well.Congratulations to you, Ann, for winning such a nice prize!
Thanks sis!! 🙂 Love you!
Thanks Pam. I appreciate your friendship!
Your castle pillow is so special and I love what you are doing, Taunja! Congratulations to Ann for winning this beautiful bundle – and to the Fat Quarter Shop for always having such a giving heart with so many charities.
Thank you!! It's so fun to be a small part of something bigger and better than yourself! Have a great day!
This is a such a sad, yet beautiful story! The Ronald McDonald House is a wonderful organization to raise money for. I love reading stories of how a tragedy has been turned into a wonderful cause for charitable giving! I always tell my kids to focus on the good that comes out of something not so good! I truly believe that the Lord uses tragedies to bring good out of it, and to bring glory to Himself. We just have to look for it and recognize it! Bless your heart for donating that sweet pillow. If I were at that auction, you know I'd be the highest bidder and snatch it right up!! 😉
Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness!! You are so right in what you say!
