Are you looking for a quick Valentine inspired sewing project? Well Lou Lou’s Fabric shop has a sweet little pillow project you will really enjoy! The pattern was written by one of their Sew Pro Staff, Amy Carrington, and is free on their website! They now have kits available in \”Strawberry Fields Revisited\” by Fig Tree & Company for Moda, with background and backing fabric using Moda\’s \”Cross Weave Woven\” in the sand color. I made my pillow in the shorter part of one evening and I just love it.
Look how darling the kit is when it comes in the mail! It’s sometimes really hard to unwrap fabric when it’s this cute, isn’t it? The kit is just $9.99 and would really make a nice gift for a quilting friend!
If you haven’t used a Moda cross weave woven before, I encourage you to purchase a yard or two to have on hand for projects. It has a great linen-like texture, but it is 100% cotton. I’ve used it for pouches, pin cushions, small quilts, and now this pillow. Lou Lou’s Fabric Shop has yardage available in two colors: sand and graphite.
