Sundrops on my Pinafore Bag

Recently I shared a tote bag project that I made for my mom, the Pinafore Bag, using some beautiful Tilda fabric from My Timeless Day. Well, I decided Taunja needed a new Pinafore Bag too, and so I made one for myself using one of my favorite fabric collections, Sundrops, by Corey Yoder for Moda Fabrics. Yep, this bag is SO me.

The flirty yellow tie on the handle is actually from another lovely Moda line, Sugar Pie, by Lella Boutique. Don’t these two lines blend nicely together?  My local quilt shop, Quilts on Broadway, had these bolts arranged side-by-side and it was like quilty kismet.

I mentioned in my previous post that the Pinafore Bag (pattern by Me and My Sister Designs) is my all-time favorite bag pattern. I think it’s the perfect shape and size. Heck, I might just promote this pretty tote to full-time autumn purse status!

As I was photographing my new tote, I recalled that I have made four projects with Sundrops this year.  Here is my tote bag pictured with my most recent table runner pattern, Diamond Trail.

And here is my On Point Pillow made with Sundrops.  This is a free tutorial if you’re looking for a fun pillow project!

And last spring I made this cute little zipped pouch for a family friend. This was a wing-it project, but it turned out so cute! The yellow polka dot is actually a Fig Tree & Company print.  Boy do I love it when my favorites all blend together!

Thanks for letting me do a little show and share today. Sharing what you love with others can be such a boon to the soul!  I hope you are all well and happy, and finding an abundance of time to get carried away quilting!
