Hello quilting friends! It\’s the middle of October, which means I have an update on my progress in the 2017 Patchwork Quilt Along with Fat Quarter Shop. The October block is called Country Roads, a super easy block with no seams to match!
I am sewing my blocks with the beautiful Fleurs fabric by Brenda Riddle for Moda. I always love Brenda’s soft, romantic collections. Fat Quarter Shop carries several Brenda Riddle lines if you’d like to check them out!
Many of you are sewing along, but if you are new to the game (and it’s NEVER too late to start), I\’ve shared some of my Patchwork Quilt Along piecing tips in an earlier blog post. Do you see that stack of blocks tied with measuring tape ribbon? Those are all my blocks from months one through nine! We have just two months to go, and then we can begin putting our tops together!
This quilt along is an annual charity event hosted by Fat Quarter Shop. The patterns are free and are posted on the 15th of each month on the Jolly Jabber. Quilters are asked to donate $5 for each block pattern that they download. All proceeds will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation! What a great opportunity for us all!

I found your blog a few days ago and have been having so much fun looking back at your posts. You do such beautiful work! I love that you have so many nice smaller projects, my precious husband was diagnosed a few months ago with melanoma stage 4 cancer so life here has completely changed, your smaller projects are just the thing for me right now to give me a little break. Just finished the Coffee Time Quilt. A friend had sent me a mini Moda Farm Fun, perfect for this quilt.
