Baby quilts for NICUs, a LouLou gift card giveaway, and a pattern giveaway!

Hello quilting friends! I’m reaching out today to share a wonderful quilting program organized by LouLou’s Fabric Shop, Little Lou Quilts.  This program seeks to provide new, hand-made baby quilts to infants in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs).
LouLou’s Fabric Shop is kicking of their wonderful program with a goal of collecting 100 baby quilts by March 21, 2020. They will collect, wash, package and deliver your quilts to a pre-selected NICU. (The first location will be a NICU in Oregon, in honor of shop owner Jamie’s little nephews.) All you need to do is put your sewing machine pedal to the metal! You can find all of the details and participation guidelines here: Little Lou Quilts.
As an incentive, LouLou’s Fabric Shop is also giving away three $50 LouLou’s Gift Cards. All quilters who send in a quilt before the March 21 deadline will be entered into the gift card drawing. Details here: Little Lou Quilts Giveaway.
Maybe you are like me, and you doubt you can complete a quilt before March 21. Don’t worry. You can donate a quilt at a later date. Be sure to follow LouLou’s Fabric Shop on social media and sign up for email updates. They are planning to open up nominations for other NICU locations to receive Little Lou Quilts in the future!

  15. I have made a few Picking Pedals quilts with your pattern. I added a few bordersand they make adorable NICU quilts when I leave out the batting and just sew and turn with Minky. I made one for my mom some years ago too. That is my fav pattern…. but Flower Tile. I need that one🥰

  20. Our youngest daughter spent several weeks in the NICU, and we were given a couple of small quilts. It was such a nice gesture, and we used them until we couldn't anymore. What a sweet thing for you to do with LouLou's. Thanks! I love your Fall Flight pattern. squish06@ rocketmail.com

That's a great idea, and I have been thinking a lot about baby quilts lately, so I'm going to do my best to finish one, in spite of recent trials in my family. =) I think I'd like to win Star Crossed Pines, if my number comes up.   28. My great grandson was in the NICU after he was born 6 weeks early so this is near and dear to my heart. I may not be able to get a quilt done by the March date, but will do one for a later donation for sure. It’s hard to choose a favorite pattern, but the one that kept catching my eye was Fall Flight. Thanks for the info and the give away!!
