Sweet Treasures Quilts released the Day 1 block instructions yesterday and the Day 2 block instructions today. So I\’m popping in to show you my progress. I\’ve also included the Sweet Treasures Quilts instruction images at the end of this blog post!
Day 1 called for us to make (4) Railroad blocks, and Day 2 called for us to make (6) star blocks. The Railroad block is super easy-peasy. The Star block has a center square that just begs for some fussy cutting. All in all, this was a great start to the mystery sew-along.
All of the information (fabric selection, fabric requirements, block instructions) for this mystery sew along is available through social media on the Sweet Treasures Facebook page and the Sweet Treasures Instagram feed. Please check out those links, as shop owner Terri was kind enough to offer some video tutorials as well. Organizing a sew along is a lot of work, and I am so thankful to Terri for her generous heart and creative talents!
Thank you for sharing this with us, Taunja! I posted it on my blog also, after reading about it here first. Once I'm finished making face masks, I'm going to dive into this one.
Thanks Julie! And so good of you making masks! Wonderful!
What a wonderful project that feels like a really worth while quilt to invest my time into. I know two special, caring young nurses that I am going to make these for. Yours is going to be beautiful Taunja as is your taste in fabrics and color. I’ll go through tomorrow to see what I have and maybe order a kit from Sweet Treasures. We are all in our third week of self quarantine and I have to say that I’m enjoying this time with Glen, Lindsay and her two youngest ones. I’m happiest with a full table at dinner💕. You take care!
