Journeys fat quarter quilt for Christmas

It’s early March and many of us are eagerly anticipating the first sightings of tulips, daffodils, green grass and budding trees. So, I feel like I should apologize for showing you yet another Christmas quilt. My second Journeys quilt is complete and I just had to share!

My original Journey’s quilt featured rich Art Gallery prints on a chambray background, and it had a bit of an autumn flair.  This new Journeys quilt features the glorious Christmas Morning collection by Lella Boutique for Moda. That collection will go down as being one of my all-time favorites!

I love how magical the white space looks, thanks to the superb machine quilting by Woods Edge Quilting.  Katy used a pantograph called Merriment. Isn’t it fabulous? It makes me sigh and smile . . . oh so good!

My Journeys pattern is fat quarter friendly and finishes at 69” x 77”. This versatile pattern is available in PDF format on my Etsy shop.

Thanks for indulging me with yet another Christmas quilt sharing. I will tuck it away now and eagerly await the warmer seasons that are to come, reminding myself what a treat it will be to bring out this new Journeys quilt next winter!

  1. This makes me smile too! Love it in Christmas fabrics – and shhhh – I still have my Christmas decor up – 2nd year in a row this late, but love the Christmas lights with all the snow outside yet :)! Soooooo, this quilt would fit right in ;)!

    1. Oh my gosh thanks for the giggle! Yes, I love twinkle lights too . . . and it is still SO cold here with plenty of snow . . . my Christmas quilt actually fits right in! 😉 Have a great weekend Sigi!

  2. That is beautiful! Any way you could make it bigger? Directions for that? I have a queen size bed😊

    1. Hi Patty! There is a link in the second to last paragraph. It will take you directly to my Etsy shop to order the PDF. Thank you!

  3. I have purchased both the Christmas charm pack and the pattern. Can you tell me what fabric you used for the background and backing? THANKS!

    1. Hi Missy! I just used the white dot (white on white) that was part of the Christmas Morning collection. If you can’t find it in stores anymore, Christmas Eve is coming out in May or June and it has the same tonal white dot!
