Dreamy Pumpkin and Plus A Pumpkin in Fig Tree fabrics

Happy Monday, quilting friends!  Today I’m sharing some photos that will start your week with a smile.  One of my Instagram quilting friends, Gerri, has been kind enough to pattern test for me on occasion.  In fact, she recently tested my newest patterns, Dreamy Pumpkin and Plus a Pumpkin, and she emailed me these lovely photos of her finished pillows!

Gerri used some of her treasured Fig Tree fabrics . . . a great choice for these pillow patterns! She also did her own quilting using a diamond grid.  They turned out so pretty, didn’t they? Plus a Pumpkin and Dreamy Pumpkin are sold individually as digital PDF patterns on my Etsy shop.  The patterns include instructions for a simple envelope style back enclosure.

The last time Gerri pattern tested for me, her sweet four-legged girls, her Cavaliers, were models in the photo shoot. Gerri said they weren’t in the mood this time, so they watched from the window instead. This made me giggle, so I had to share with you as well. We all have those days when we just don’t want to be photographed, right?

Here’s a picture of Holly from last year, posing with Gerri’s finished Joy pillow that she also pattern tested for me.  Gerri also used some much-loved Fig Tree fabrics in that pillow as well.  (My Joy pattern includes instructions for both a Christmas version and an autumn version.)

My husband and I don’t have a dog right now, although I’m working on him to see if we can change that. In the meantime, I live vicariously through others. When Gerri posts pictures of her Cavs on Instagram, they instantly brighten my day.  And when my son and his girlfriend come for a visit, their dog Harley puts a spring in my step.  Here is a picture of Harley, living her best boat life.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope your summer is off to a great start, and you are sneaking in time to get carried away quilting!
