Pretty quilting on 9 Patch Pivot, Banded Stars

Don’t you just love it when your treasured quilt tops return home from the long arm quilter? I sure do! Maybe you are one of those talented people who can hand or machine quilt all of your projects yourself.  That definitely is not me! I figure it’s okay for me to stay in my lane, do what I love, and support the business of someone who is far more talented in that area. This week, my friend and longarm quilting wizard Katy (Woods Edge Quilting) returned FIVE quilts to me, and they are all finished beautifully! I want to share photos of two of them today: Banded Stars and 9-Patch Pivot!

In December I shared pictures of my Christmas Banded Stars top and my Christmas 9-Patch Pivot top, and then I promptly sent them off to Katy. I thought they were pretty in their “flimsy” state, but now that they have been quilted, I’m over the moon about both of them.

I’m only showing close-up photos today because I still need to trim and bind them. The panto that Katy used on both quilts is called Holly Hop. I love how the holly leaves dance along the vine. This panto fills the space nicely without being overwhelming.  Since these quilts are going to different homes, I figured it was okay to use the same lovely panto for both.

If you’re new to my blog, these are Christmas versions of my Banded Stars and 9-Patch Pivot patterns. Here are links to the original versions of those patterns, which both feature my favorite color . . . blue!

Both Banded Stars and 9-Patch Pivot are available as PDF patterns on my Etsy Shop.  For both of the holiday versions, I used the gorgeous Christmas Eve collection by Lella Boutique. I do have some of that fabric collection remaining, and so I listed it on my Etsy shop. It would be a great time to add to your Christmas stash. Everything on my Etsy shop will be on sale April 20 – April 30, 2024.

You probably get tired of my Minnesota weather reports, but we had snow flurries again yesterday, and the weekend is supposed to be quite chilly. It’s a good thing I have plenty of binding to do!

Thanks so much for stopping by.
