Christmas sewing: Buffalo check style!

Sweetwater’s newest fabric collection, Red Barn Christmas, is finally arriving in quilt shops! This darling winter collection is classic Sweetwater . . . petite prints in red, green and black feature little barns, spruce trees, geometric shapes and (my personal favorite) festive holiday text.

If you are looking for a small project to sew with Red Barn Christmas, might I make a suggestion? How about my Buffalo Check Table Topper or my Buffalo Check Christmas Runner? I’ve photographed them together so you can see how cute they are, and both of them feature past collections by Sweetwater. It’s pretty easy to see how Sweetwater’s new collection, Red Barn Christmas, would shine with either one of these patterns!

Here’s a link to the original announcement of my Buffalo Check Table Topper pattern. This table topper finishes at 30 1/2″ square, and the pattern includes instructions for both the Christmas and Halloween versions.

And here’s a link to the original announcement of my Buffalo Check Christmas Runner pattern. This runner is 12 1/2″ wide and 56 1/2″ long, just perfect for a holiday table setting!

Both patterns are available on my Etsy Shop in PDF format. Fabric requirements are minimal for both projects. You could order Red Barn Christmas or raid your stash for some favorite Christmas prints.

It’s never to early to get a jump on your Christmas sewing, my friends. I hope I’ve inspired you to consider one of these projects. Thanks for stopping by!
